Citera provides an AJAX cart drawer with a full cart fallback, then hands checkout, payment, tax, shipping, and order completion to Shopify.
Cart behavior
Choose the cart experience in Theme settings.
The drawer supports quantity changes, item removal, discount display, subtotal, cart notes, an optional gift-order attribute, shipping progress, related product recommendations, and checkout access. The full cart page remains the resilient fallback.
Shipping progress
Match the threshold to store operations.
Set a free-shipping threshold only when the merchant's shipping rates support that promise. Verify the message for each active market and currency, including carts above and below the threshold.
Recommendations
Use relevant additions, not friction.
Cart recommendations depend on Shopify data and the products currently in the cart. Keep the block short, verify availability, and ensure the primary checkout action remains visually dominant.
Checkout boundary
Shopify owns checkout.
Checkout availability, accelerated payment methods, taxes, delivery, discounts, and payment processing follow the merchant's Shopify plan and configuration. Theme settings do not replace checkout settings.
